Providing outstanding service is the core of our business. Please review the below policies for Her Growing Hands Salon and let us know if there are additional questions.


Pricing Policy: All prices are set and are subject to change at any time

No Show and Last-Minute Cancellation Policy: If you do not arrive for your scheduled appointment, you will still be charged full price for the services scheduled

Cancellation Policy: You will not be charged if you cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment starts. Otherwise, you will be charged 50% of the service price due to the late cancellation.

Late Policy: If you are running more than 20 minutes late, your status will automatically be updated from priority to standby. If you choose to decline the standby option, you will be charged a NO SHOW fee (full price of the services scheduled).

Additional Guests/Children Policy: Due to space limitations, please refrain from bringing guests or individuals who do not have a scheduled appointment. Our specialists are trained to have a gentle hand when servicing children 3 and up. In order not to compromise the experience of the salon, please make sure that your child can calmly remain seated through the duration of the appointment.

What are Her Growing Hands Salon hours?

Typically, the salon is open from Tuesday to Thursday from 9:00am to 7:00pm CST and Friday to Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm CST.

Is Her Growing Hands Salon accepting new clients?

YES! Her Growing Hands Salon is an extension of the healthy, natural hair care services that have been provided by Whitney Eaddy, The Growth Guru! All-Natural Hair Care & Growth Specialists have been trained extensively by Whitney to provide the same high-quality care that her clients and social media following have grown to love and trust.

Wow! That is amazing that Her Growing Hands Salon is an extension of Whitney! However, will Whitney accept new clients?

Yes! Whitney accepts new clients. As many of you know, Whitney closed her books in 2016, but opened them back up for One Shot Slot appointments in 2018. Due to high demand, Whitney will be accepting appointments scheduled from "Whitney's Exclusive Menu" at Her Growing Hands salon through December 2018.

Who should I schedule an appointment with?

We have 3 amazing and talented natural hair care and growth specialists for you to choose from! Please look at their Profile and Availability to determine the best fit for you!

This is my first time to book with Her Growing Hands Salon. What type of appointment should I book?

More often than not, a new client to Her Growing Hands Salon will book their first service as a Silk Press, Steam Hydration, and Trim package. Her Growing Hands Salon is all about healthy, natural hair growth. To reach this goal, your first appointment must include a trim. Our specialists only trim pressed hair. Based on the regimen that is developed by your specialist, you will be able to book alternate services in the future.

I only get my hair trimmed while my hair is in its curly state. Are there options for me?

Unfortunately, all specialists at Her Growing Hands Salon will only trim pressed hair. Whitney’s hair philosophy that she has passed on to her team is for every client to maintain the integrity of their natural curl pattern with no heat damage. There is a specific method to accomplish this in which all specialists in the salon have been trained to follow. Our Natural Hair Care & Growth specialists will be happy to prepare your hair for a protective style after the press and trim if you do not want to leave with your hair pressed. If you do not approve of this method, you may consider choosing another hair care provider.

Can I book multiple appointments in advance?

A: Our booking system is limited to booking your appointments 6 months in advance. Booking appointments out beyond this restriction will be at your specialists discretion.

Can I book extra services while I am at the salon?

A: Absolutely - please ask! We will always try to accommodate your wishes, although we do recommend that you book your Add On services in advance. Please note that Add On services may not be booked as stand alone services. Please refrain from booking these services alone.


How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule your appointment by visiting the Booking section of the site. Your appointment will be secured with a credit card and you will receive confirmation and reminder notifications via text and email. 

What time should I arrive for my appointment?

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to ensure that your appointment starts and ends on time so the daily schedule may stay intact.

What do I do if I need to cancel my appointment?

To provide adequate notice to our specialists and to allow other clients the opportunity to book appointments, we ask that you cancel your appointment at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid a 50% charge for the service. All no-show appointments will be charged at full value.

What if I need to re-schedule my appointment?

If you need to re-schedule, please reschedule on our booking page as soon as possible to allow another person the opportunity to reserve your time slot.

May I bring a guest or individual who does not have a scheduled appointment to the salon with me during my scheduled appointment?

Due to space limitations, please refrain from bringing guests or individuals who do not have a scheduled appointment. Our specialists are trained to have a gentle hand when servicing children 3 and up. In order not to compromise the experience of the salon, please make sure that your child can calmly remain seated through the duration of the appointment.

What can I expect from my Natural Hair Care and Growth Specialist during my appointment?

Your Natural Hair Care and Growth Specialist will consult with you prior to your service to best understand your goals and preferences and can make recommendations if appropriate. They will let you know what to expect and will find out if you have any special needs or concerns.

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

In most cases, you don’t need to bring anything. It never hurts to bring a list of the products that you use, your hair history, and your hair goals. There is no need to "prep" your hair, but please note that if your hair has excessive scalp/product buildup or your hair has excessive tangles/knots, you will be assessed a deep cleansing and/or deep detangle service fee.


Does your salon take walk-ins?

Currently, we do not accept walk-ins. We highly recommend that you schedule an appointment in advance, particularly if you have requirements on who you’d like to see and a specific time you’d like to do schedule.


I am a natural that doesn’t like to do my own hair. Are there options for me?

Yes! Whether you prefer wearing wigs or any other type of HGH approved protective style, you can schedule the appointment frequency that works best with your schedule in our booking system.

Detangling is a nightmare for me! Should it be painful when I get my hair detangled? Will your specialist show me how to detangle my hair?

A: Detangling should absolutely not be painful and our specialists will absolutely show you how to detangle your hair! Our team of Natural Hair Care and Growth Specialists are master detanglers! There should be no pain when detangling and it should not be a task that takes up a lot of time. The exception to the rule is when hair is excessively tangled. Your Natural Hair Care and Growth Specialist will determine if additional detangling is required. If so, a deep detangling fee will be added to your ticket upon checkout.

Should I tell my specialist about any medications or conditions?

Yes! Please inform your specialist of any medications that you may be taking or any condition that you may have as either may interfere with your service or natural hair care regimen that will be created for you.


What are your current prices for servicing?

Are the prices listed on the Service Menu the same for children?

Yes! The prices do not differ for children as the same products, tools, time, and effort are provided for all clients.


How does the tipping process work? What is normal?

Our prices do not include gratuities for our Natural Hair Care and Growth Specialists. Tipping is optional, but if your service meets or exceeds your expectations it is certainly appreciated. The industry standard is 15 – 20% of your total service fee.
